Terms and Conditions for The Art of Detailing

Welcome to The Art of Detailing. By engaging with our services, including booking appointments, receiving written estimates, or providing personal information, you (“client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms are designed to ensure clarity, fairness, and a high standard of service while protecting both our business operations and your privacy.


1. Scope of Services

1.1. The Art of Detailing provides automotive detailing services as described in your service invoice, agreement, or written estimate.

1.2. Service descriptions, pricing, and timeframes will be provided prior to appointment confirmation or as part of a written estimate. You are responsible for reviewing and agreeing to these details before proceeding.

1.3. Any additional services requested on-site will be billed accordingly and are subject to time and resource availability.

1.4. Services are provided at the client’s own risk, and the vehicle must be able to withstand standard detailing processes.


2. Estimates and Non-Booked Services

2.1. Written estimates provided by The Art of Detailing are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. After this period, prices may be subject to change.

2.2. Estimates are based on the information provided by the client and an initial inspection (if conducted). Final pricing is determined after a thorough inspection of the vehicle before service.

2.3. Receiving an estimate does not guarantee service availability. Service is confirmed only when an appointment is booked and acknowledged by The Art of Detailing.

2.4. Clients requesting written estimates are bound by the same terms and conditions regarding pricing, cancellation, and liability, even if the service is not booked.


3. Use of Customer Information and Privacy

3.1.

Data Collection:

We collect personal information such as name, email, phone number, address, and vehicle details to facilitate services, provide estimates, and communicate with you. By providing your information, you consent to its use as outlined in these terms.

3.2.

Data Use:

Customer information is used strictly for service-related purposes, including booking, invoicing, marketing (with consent), and customer support. Vehicle information may be retained for service history records and warranty purposes.

3.3.

Data Sharing:

Customer information is not shared with third parties without consent, except where necessary to provide services (e.g., independent contractors) or as required by law.

3.4.

Marketing Communications:

Clients may receive promotional emails, SMS, or offers from The Art of Detailing. You can opt-out at any time by following the instructions provided in the communication or by contacting us directly.

3.5.

Data Security:

The Art of Detailing implements reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access or disclosure. However, no system is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

3.6.

Customer Rights:

You have the right to access, update, or request the deletion of your personal information by contacting us at theartofdetailingmobile@gmail.com.


4. Areas Not Serviced

To ensure safety, compliance, and quality, The Art of Detailing does not provide detailing services in the following areas:

4.1.

Headliners:

We do not clean, treat, or repair headliners to avoid causing sagging or damage.

4.2.

Seatbelts:

Cleaning or repairing seatbelts is excluded to avoid compromising safety functionality.

4.3.

Pedals:

Accelerator, brake, and clutch pedals are not treated to prevent slippage hazards.

4.4.

Safety and Security Equipment:

Airbags, sensors, locks, and alarm systems will not be serviced.

4.5.

Engine Bay:

Engine bay cleaning is excluded unless explicitly requested and confirmed in writing.

4.6.

Windows with Tint:

Aggressive cleaning of tinted windows is avoided to prevent damage to the film.


5. Payment Terms

5.1. Payment is due in full immediately upon service completion unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

5.2. Accepted payment methods include cash, credit/debit cards, Venmo, Zelle, and Cash App.

5.3. For services requiring a deposit (specified in your invoice), deposits are non-refundable if cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the appointment.

5.4. Late payments may incur a fee of up to 5% of the total service amount per day of delay.

5.5. Returned checks or insufficient fund payments will result in a $35 fee plus any bank charges incurred.

5.6. The Art of Detailing reserves the right to withhold or suspend services until payment is received in full.


6. Pricing Terms

6.1. Pricing is based on the type of detailing service, vehicle size, location, and condition. Prices listed online are "starting from" and subject to adjustment after vehicle inspection.

6.2. Additional charges may apply for:

Excessive pet hair, urine, vomit, blood, or hazardous materials. Heavily soiled interiors or exteriors requiring extended cleaning.6.3. Any adjustments to the quoted price will be communicated to the client before service continues.6.4. Taxes are not included in listed prices unless otherwise stated and will be applied based on service location.


7. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and No-Shows

7.1. Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid fees.

7.2. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service cost.

7.3. No-shows will be charged the full price of the scheduled service.

7.4. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather conditions, equipment failure, or staff availability.


8. Liability

8.1. We exercise the highest level of care in providing our services, but we are not liable for:

Pre-existing damage to your vehicle or materials. Damage caused by the deterioration of paint, upholstery, or surfaces due to age, wear, or previous poor maintenance.8.2. Clients must remove all valuables and personal items from the vehicle before service. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items left inside the vehicle.8.3. Battery drainage or electrical issues during or after the service are not our responsibility. Clients should inspect the vehicle to ensure all lights and electrical components are off before and after service.


9. Satisfaction Guarantee

9.1. If you are dissatisfied with our services, you must notify us within 48 hours of service completion.

9.2. We will re-inspect the vehicle and re-perform services at no additional charge if the issue falls within our service guarantee.

9.3. Refunds are offered at our sole discretion and only in cases where re-performance of services cannot resolve the issue.

9.4. Refusing a redo appointment limits refunds to a maximum of 20% of the service cost.


10. Warranty and Limitations

10.1. Protective treatments, such as ceramic coatings, carry limited warranties as specified in your service agreement. Warranties are voided if proper aftercare instructions are not followed.

10.2. We make no explicit guarantees regarding the duration or effectiveness of detailing services due to environmental and usage factors.

10.3. Failure to disclose hazardous materials, such as biological waste or chemical spills, may void the service guarantee.


11. Customer Behavior

11.1. Verbal or physical abuse toward staff will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Such behavior may result in immediate cancellation of the service without refund.

11.2. Clients must ensure the service area is lawful and safe. Unsafe or unsanitary conditions may result in service refusal or cancellation.


12. Communications

12.1. Clients may receive communications via SMS, email, or phone for confirmations, updates, satisfaction surveys, and promotional offers. Standard message and data rates may apply.

12.2. All inbound and outbound communications may be recorded for quality assurance.

12.3. Written estimates and service-related communications are considered legally binding under these terms once acknowledged or booked by the client.


13. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of California.


14. Amendments

We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via our website or email. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of these revised terms.
